Our Japanese Wood Blocks are smooth-surfaced blocks of 10mm thick Japanese magnolia wood, perfect for Mokuhanga and relief printing. It is possible to use both sides, and cuts across the grain with ease.
From a plant called Hoh which is indigenous to Japan and grows wild. It's botanical name is Magnolia Obovata.
